There are several ways for students at the College and the Conservatory to take advantage of each other's curricula.

Berklee College of Music Students
- Dual-Listed Courses: Students should register for these courses through their normal registration process on MyBerklee (login required).
- Cross-Registered Courses: Students need permission from the course chair to register for these courses. Students must complete the cross-listed course registration permission request form (login required) to obtain chair approval. Chair contact information is included in the list below for these courses.
- Conservatory Ensembles: Students should call, email, or visit the administrative coordinator in the Music Division office, 617-912-9124, 8 Fenway, second floor.
- Dance Courses: Students should register for these courses through their normal registration process on MyBerklee.
- Berklee Stage Management Minor: Students interested in this minor should email Bridgette Hayes.
- Berklee Contemporary Musical Theater Performance Minor: Students interested in this minor should contact the Performance Division at 617-747-2025 or 1140 Boylston Street, fifth floor.

Conservatory Ensembles for Berklee College of Music Students
Students who wish to participate in performance opportunities at the Conservatory must complete an ensembles audition. Requirements for eligibility and registration, as well as audition repertoire for each department, are listed below:
Large ensemble eligibility/registration requirements for instrumentalists:
- Students with a rating of 3 or higher who have completed two semesters at the college or another institution are eligible to audition for ensembles at the Conservatory.
- Students must be available for all designated class times (Monday–Friday, 1:30 p.m.–3:30 p.m.) and occasional evening rehearsals and performances.
- Once accepted into our ensembles, students must register for the Instrumental Ensembles course (BCEN-110-001). It is not possible to play ad hoc in our performing groups, except in very specific cases.
- Students interested in participating in the Contemporary Music ensembles must also be prepared to sight-read during their audition, as well as be available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m
Chamber music eligibility/registration requirements for instrumentalists:
- Students with a rating of 3 or higher who have completed two semesters at the college or another institution are eligible to audition for chamber music ensembles at the Conservatory.
- Students must be available for all designated class times (Friday, 11:00 a.m.–12:50 p.m.) and other additional coaching and rehearsal times to be determined with the ensemble coach.
- Once accepted into our ensembles, students must register for the Chamber Music course (BCEN-112-001). It is not possible to play ad hoc in our performing groups. For more information about chamber music at the Conservatory, contact program coordinator Judith Eissenberg.
Chorus eligibility/registration requirements for vocalists:
- All Berklee College of Music students are eligible to audition for vocal ensembles at the Conservatory.
- Once accepted into our ensembles, students must register for the applicable vocal ensemble course and be available for all designated class times and occasional evening rehearsals and performances. It is not possible to sing ad hoc in our performing groups.
- BCEN-118-001: Chorale. Meets Monday and Wednesday, 1:45 p.m.–3:15 p.m.
- BCEN-118-002: Women's Chorus. Meets Monday and Wednesday, 12:05 p.m.–1:35 p.m.
Auditions should be scheduled before the following dates with the appropriate instrumental chairperson (listed below)

Woodwinds, Brass, Percussion and Harp: Matthew Marsit
- Required repertoire:
- Excerpts from this season's repertoire (found on the Audition Repertoire Page)
- All major scales and arpeggios
- Sight-reading
Choruses: Patty Thom
- Required repertoire:
- One prepared solo art song or aria (any language)
- Sight-singing with piano accompaniment
- No operatic arias, please
- Note: an accompanist will be provided.
Piano Department: Max Levinson
- Required repertoire, all from memory:
- A prelude and fugue from the Well-Tempered Clavier or another work by Bach that includes a fugue
- A complete sonata by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, or Schubert
- A major work for solo piano from the Romantic era (including Rachmaninoff)
- A solo piano piece from the 20th or 21st century
- One virtuosic etude, such as those by Chopin, Liszt, Debussy, Rachmaninoff, Scriabin, or Legeti
String Department: Rhonda Rider
- Required repertoire:
- One etude or short technical work that best demonstrates your ability to freely shift around the instrument with good control of bowing articulation
- Two unaccompanied movements by Bach (bass players may substitute with another work of their choice)
- A complete first or last movement from the standard concerto repertoire
- Prepare a scale of your choice (major or minor) in three–four octaves, performed with a minimum of four slurred notes per bow, plus the corresponding arpeggios (the arpeggio cycle of Flesch or Galamain is preferred and should be performed three slurred notes to a bow).

College Minors with Integrated Curriculum
Contemporary Musical Theater Performance Minor
The contemporary musical theater performance minor focuses on molding a total musical theater performer. It engages in a multidisciplinary exploration of this uniquely American art form, with an emphasis on the meeting place between classic musical theater and the rock musical. The course work includes musical preparation, character development, movement, composition, and ensemble work.

Dance Minor
The dance minor offers students the opportunity to study a range of movement forms including jazzdance, salsa, African dance, hip-hop, tap dance, and ballet, and to investigate dance as a social, cultural, and historical document, which both reflects and impacts the culture that creates it. The dance minor requires coursework in the academic study of dance, the creative process, somatics, and applied coursework in specific movement genres.

For Conservatory students interested in playing in a college ensemble:
Contact the office of the instrumental department above which corresponds to the instrument you intend to play in the ensemble. Office locations can be found on the department website linked to above. Email or call Barbara Gill, 617-747-2255, Ensemble Department program manager, with any questions.
- Ensemble auditions are open to all students.
- All candidates must be available to register for the course and be available for all designated class times.
- In order to play in ensembles, you must be registered in the course. It is not possible to play ad hoc in our ensemble courses.
All cross-registered ensemble and private instruction enrollment is on an “as-available” basis.
