#TheShowMustBePaused(Opens in a new window) is an initiative created by two Black women in music as a response to the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and countless other Black citizens at the hands of police. The mission? To hold the music industry at large accountable, including but not limited to major corporations and their partners who benefit from the efforts, struggles, and successes of Black people.

Join the women behind #TheShowMustBePaused, Jamila Thomas and Brianna Agyemang, for a live discussion and Q&A, moderated by Tonya Butler(Opens in a new window), chair of the Music Business/Management Department.
