Ryan Braaten
Ryan Braaten (he/him) is an experienced events producer and arts administrator specializing in employer partnerships, grant writing, and alumni programs. With a passion for helping artists, musicians, and filmmakers bring their creative vision to life, his career has been at the intersection of higher education, recruitment, and the creative industries.
Prior to joining Berklee as manager of industry relations, he worked in the Washington, D.C. region on the external affairs and fundraising teams of Arena Stage, PBS affiliate WETA, Levine Music, and George Mason University’s College of Visual and Performing Arts. At Mason, he founded the annual Arts in the Real World Internship and Career Fair and produced the university’s annual ARTS by George! gala featuring headliners Kristin Chenoweth, Audra McDonald, Patti LuPone, Bernadette Peters, and Sutton Foster. He has raised over $5 million in corporate sponsorships from the Country Music Association, Steinway, HSBC, Target, and Amtrak and grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, U.S. Department of State, U.S. Small Business Administration, and New England Foundation for the Arts.
A native of Virginia, he is a graduate of the Governor’s School for the Arts, studied theater and communications at Marymount Manhattan College, and arts management at George Mason University. An avid runner, he has completed three marathons and hopes to attempt a triathlon.
