
Gideon D'Addio
Gideon D’Addio (they/them) is a vocalist, pedagogue, voice instructor, and arts administrator dedicated to leading their students and advisees to agency and curiosity within their own educations and careers. In all of their work, they're passionate about exploring the role of the artist as a community member and fostering effective and personal communication and connections.
They previously worked as a graduate assistant in the Student Employment Office at the Berklee Career Center and have a deep belief in the power and importance of experiential learning opportunities within the larger framework of a holistic education. They serve on the student employment team (login required) to support student essential processes and to continue innovating on programming and resources to maintain the program’s growth and effectiveness. Prior to coming to Berklee and in addition to their performance career, they have served as an assistant educator within the Massachusetts public school system and as a teaching artist with El Sistema in Cambridge, Massachusetts. They currently serve as the assistant artistic director for Boston-based opera company Promenade Opera Project.
D'Addio holds a B.M. in vocal performance with a minor in women's and gender studies from Bucknell University and an M.M. in vocal pedagogy from Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
