The Berklee Visiting Artist Series is a live, interactive forum featuring some of today's most innovative professional performers and creators. These moderated discussions will focus on the topics of artistry, entrepreneurship, and social justice, and students will have the opportunity to actively participate by posing questions directly to guests. This event features a live interview with Juanes, moderated by Rodney Alejandro, associate professor in the Songwriting Department.

Born and raised in Medellín, Colombia, Juanes is unquestionably Latin rock’s leading global ambassador and champion for social change. Hailed by Time as "one of the 100 most influential people in the world" and the New York Times as "Latin America's hottest singer-songwriter...a soulful poet with electric guitar," Juanes is the only artist with two songs on Billboard’s Top Five Latin Pop Songs of All Time list. He has 12 no. 1 U.S. singles to his credit and dozens of groundbreaking Spanish-language television appearances including the Grammy broadcast, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and The Tonight Show, among others. He has collected a staggering 25 Grammy and Latin Grammy awards. Known for his distinctive sound that fuses a deep love of rock and pop music with smartly crafted, multilayered songwriting and a deep reverence for the traditional folk and other indigenous rhythms of Colombia and Latin America, Juanes has sold millions of records around the world. He was honored as the most recent Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year, recognizing his "creative artistry, unprecedented humanitarian efforts, support for rising artists, and philanthropic contributions to the world."
