Disability Accommodations

Berklee is committed to full compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) and its amendments, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, which prohibit discrimination against qualified persons with disabilities, as well as other federal and state laws pertaining to individuals with disabilities.

Disability accommodation requests are handled separately from the Title IX Complaint Process. Procedures for requesting accommodations are described in the Human Resources Policy Manual (for Faculty and Staff) and on the Student Disability Services website at berklee.edu/counseling-and-advising-center/disability-services-students (for students). Employee requests for disability-related accommodations should be made to the Office of Human Resources. Student requests for accommodations should be directed to Disability Services.

Parties to equity or Title IX matters may request reasonable accommodations for disabilities to the assistant vice president for equity and Title IX at any point before or during the Title IX or equity grievance process that do not fundamentally alter the process. The assistant vice president for equity and Title IX will not affirmatively provide disability accommodations that have not been specifically requested by the parties, even where the parties may be receiving accommodations in other Berklee programs and activities.
