Each semester, Berklee's student ensembles wrap up their coursework with public performances around campus, sharing the music they've been working on for months. Performances take place in various Berklee venues, including David Friend Recital Hall, Berk Recital Hall, and Oliver Colvin Recital Hall.
Listen to three students talk about how they put together their end-of-semester performances:
Berklee boasts a wide variety of student ensembles, some focused on the work of one band or musician, such as Radiohead or Jimi Hendrix. Others explore certain genres, such as soul, funk, Afro-Caribbean Jazz, or the best of American rock 'n' roll. Still others bring in a wide variety of vocal and musical styles. All of them allow students a chance to perform with a group of talented peers. For Berklee faculty, staff, and other students, it's also a fun way to get a glimpse inside the classroom, and the music adds a bit of festive cheer to exam week.
