Berklee, ICA Present Harborwalk Sounds Virtual Concert Series

All concerts will be prerecorded at the ICA and broadcast on the museum’s website and social media channels every Thursday in August.

Brandon Harris will kick off the virtual Harborwalk Sounds series.

Berklee is partnering with Boston's Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) to present Harborwalk Sounds, a four-week virtual performance series. 

All concerts will be prerecorded at the ICA and broadcast on icaboston.org and the museum’s Facebook and Instagram pages every Thursday in August from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. EDT. With a roster of talented musicians representing genres such as R&B, pop, Latin, and soul, the series will bring the sounds of the summer to households in the Boston area and beyond.

The following performers will be featured as part of the virtual Harborwalk Sounds concert series:

Brandon Harris

Thursday, August 6, at 7:00 p.m. EDT

Born and raised in Chicago, Brandon Harris is a 20-year-old singer-songwriter known for his rhythm and soul, creative lyrics, and impeccable musicality. Harris found his love for music in the church at the age of 10, and has been writing and releasing his own material ever since. His artistry as a musician, singer, writer, and performer is influenced by artists such as Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Usher, and Beyoncé. He is currently finishing his studies at Berklee College of Music and recently released a new album, Salt, available on all streaming platforms.

Gabby Cotter

Thursday, August 13, at 7:00 p.m. EDT

Gaby Cotter is a singer, songwriter, and vocal coach with a mellow voice and a strong stage presence. Originally from Panama, Cotter’s music mixes Latin American sounds with jazz, pop, and R&B. She combines perky lyrics, sassy attitude, and powerful messages, telling stories one song at a time.

The Thistle Brothers

Thursday, August 20, at 7:00 p.m. EDT

Cameron and Devin of the Thistle Brothers are a duo making music for a cause. Each single that they release is connected to an organization that helps to make the world a better place, and the money made from the singles—through streams, purchases, and donations—is sent directly to the organizations.

Nia Ashleigh

Thursday, August 27, at 7:00 p.m. EDT

Nia Ashleigh is a singer, actor, and dancer from Newark, New Jersey. Well-versed in reggae, R&B/soul, jazz, and musical theater, she is an accomplished performer across genres. She has played the role of young Nala in Disney's The Lion King, both on Broadway and in Las Vegas, for two years. She is a three-time National YoungArts winner who has performed for Clive Davis, Dionne Warwick, and Andra Day.
