Two Berklee Alumni Win 2021 Emmy Awards
The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences presented two Berklee alumni with awards for their work in music editing and sound mixing at the 73rd annual Emmy Awards on Sunday, September 19.
Jeff Lingle ’95 and Jason Lingle B.M. ’99 took home Emmys in the category of Outstanding Sound Editing for a Comedy or Drama Series (One Hour) for their music editing work on the episode “Sundown” from HBO’s Lovecraft Country. The award marks both the first nomination and win for both Jason and Jeff, who majored in professional music and in film scoring and jazz composition, respectively, as Berklee students.
Overall, 26 Berklee alumni were nominated for Emmys this year, including the history-making recognition of Mj Rodriguez ’11, who was the first trans woman to be nominated in a lead acting category.
