Boston Conservatory at Berklee Presents Second Annual Commercial Dance BFA Concert
Boston Conservatory at Berklee’s 2026 spring Center Stage season kicks off with a performance featuring soon-to-be graduates of its commercial dance degree program. The Commercial Dance BFA Concert will take place at the Huntington Theatre on Friday, February 6 and Saturday, February 7.
The concert will showcase a wide variety of popular commercial dance styles, with world premieres by several of the industry’s most acclaimed choreographers. The second annual Commercial Dance BFA Concert will feature works created by choreographer, dancer, and designer Marcus Allan Cobb, whose credits include Mariah Carey, Rihanna, and Katy Perry; choreographer and owner of SHINSA dance company Bo Park, whose commercial clients include Nike, Adidas, and Michael Kors; and director, choreographer, and producer Ray Mercer, a longstanding dancer and fight captain for Disney's The Lion King on Broadway. The concert will also showcase works by several Boston Conservatory at Berklee dance faculty.
In addition, student dancers will present a reconstruction of an iconic Bob Fosse work, resulting from a new partnership between the Verdon Fosse Legacy and Boston Conservatory. The five-year partnership was announced in September; and this past fall, the Dance Division hosted several choreographers from the organization in residency, to teach core elements of Fosse choreography and help prepare commercial dance students for the Center Stage performance.
“I am so proud to see our tremendous commercial dance students perform a mix of world premieres and iconic masterworks at this year’s BFA concert,” said Dean of Dance Tommy Neblett. “This concert is particularly special as it will be the first time audiences will be able to see the first reconstruction from the Bob Fosse catalogue as a result of our new partnership with the Verdon Fosse Legacy. I am so appreciative to the many guest artists, faculty, and students who have made this tremendous production a reality.”
Boston Conservatory at Berklee’s groundbreaking three-year degree program prepares dancers and aspiring choreographers for successful careers in entertainment industries, such as film, television, theater, concert tours, live music performances, theme parks, and more. Launched in fall 2022, it is the first and only commercial dance–focused BFA degree offered at the conservatory level that can be completed in just three years, placing students on a fast track towards launching their careers in the entertainment industry.
The Commercial Dance BFA Concert will take place at the Huntington Theatre, 264 Huntington Avenue in Boston, Massachusetts, at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 6, and 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 7. Tickets are $29.35–$47.75 and can be purchased online. View additional events in Boston Conservatory’s Center Stage season.
