Berklee Announces Two New Summer Programs in Los Angeles

The Berklee Music Business Program and Electronic Music Production and Sound Design Workshop bring immersive, hands-on training to Los Angeles this summer.

Berklee has announced the launch of two new summer programs for aspiring musicians and industry professionals: the Music Business Program in Los Angeles and the Electronic Music Production and Sound Design Workshop in Los Angeles. Both programs will take place in the heart of LA’s vibrant arts corridor on the campus of the Colburn School.

The music business program is a five-day, immersive experience designed to teach aspiring artists, managers, and entrepreneurs how to launch a successful career in the music industry. Students will learn directly from Berklee faculty and industry professionals about artist management, marketing, publishing, music licensing, and live event production while gaining valuable experience connecting theory to real-world practice.

Students in the music production and sound design workshop will receive practical, hands-on experience in a wide range of areas, including sound synthesis, sampling, modular and vintage synthesizers, and sound design for picture and video games. Each student will follow a custom curriculum tailored to their interests and proficiency levels, providing an individualized learning experience that fosters both creativity and technical skill.

“These programs are designed to immerse students in the realities of today’s music industry, equipping the next generation of leaders, producers, and creators with the artistic and entrepreneurial foundations they’ll carry into their future," said Jonathan Mahoney, dean of pre-college, online, and professional programs.

Both summer programs are now open for registration, closing on July 1. To learn more about the programs or to register, visit Berklee Summer Programs online.
