Ann Mincieli to Receive Honorary Doctorate at Berklee NYC Graduate Commencement
Berklee NYC will present an honorary Doctor of Music degree to Ann Mincieli – recording engineer and producer behind some of the most influential recordings of the past two decades – at its annual graduate commencement on Saturday, June 27. The ceremony begins at 12:30 p.m. in the Appel Room on the sixth floor of Jazz at Lincoln Center.
Mincieli will be the seventh person to receive an honorary doctorate from Berklee this year. She joins Jacob Collier, Jill Scott, and Vinnie Colaiuta, recognized at Berklee College of Music's commencement on May 9, and Beth Morrison and Moses Pendleton, honored at Boston Conservatory's ceremony the same day. Eric Whitacre will be celebrated at Berklee Valencia's commencement on July 6.
"I am deeply humbled to accept the Honorary Doctor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music on behalf of Berklee NYC," said Mincieli. "Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to help create spaces where emerging artists can thrive, collaborate, and realize possibilities they may not have seen in themselves. To be recognized by an institution committed to nurturing the next generation of creators who will shape the future of music and culture is a tremendous honor, and one I will carry with profound gratitude."
