Healthy You is the program that Berklee and other Boston-area colleges and universities have created to:

  • help you and your family get and stay healthy; and

  • work together to influence how our insurance companies work with you to help maintain or improve your well-being.

Berklee’s Healthy You program, in partnership with Tufts Health Plan, has launched a pilot of the iDiet for Berklee faculty, staff, and family members!

And it’s working!  

  • Halfway through the 12-week program...

              —our pilot group of nine has lost 122 pounds!

              —two members of our group have lost 20 pounds each!

  • We have great, supportive group members
  • Ther are convenient, informative weekly meetings
  • Our group leader is knowledgeable and encouraging

    It's Back! 2015 Spring Walking Challenge: Walk It, Track It, Win It!

    Dust off Your Fitbit and get ready to Step in!  

    Over 150 faculty and staff had a great time stepping in last summer, so let’s do it again!

    2015 Spring Walking Challenge:  May 1 – June 30

    This challenge is open to all faculty and staff. If you would like to participate but are unable to because of a physical challenge or a medical condition, please send a message to and we can discuss possible alternatives for you.

    How does it work?

      IMPORTANT: Everyone, even 2014 walkers, must register for 2015.

    • Step 2:

           A. For new 2015 walkersPick up your Fitbit and learn how to set it up.  

           Get them while they’re hot! Only 50 Fitbits are available for faculty members and 50 for staff members.

    When you register online (above) you can indicate your preferred pick-up date/time. If you can’t pick up your Fitbit at an indicated date/time, you may pick it up at the Office of Human Resources May 1-May 8.

    If you do not pick it up by May 8 we will release your Fitbit for distribution to the waiting list.

    B. For veteran walkers from 2014Dust off your Fitbit from last year! 

    You may want to buy and install a new battery.

    If you received a Fitbit from Berklee last year, we are not able to give you a new one.

    • Step 3:   Start Walking and Tracking!  May 1-June 30

    Let the Fitbit track your steps, distance, and active minutes, and report them to the Berklee Fitbit bulletin board. 

    Join your colleagues in a little friendly competition while challenging yourself to move more! 

    Prizes will be awarded at the end of the challenge, and we'll celebrate our success with Fitbit wrap-up party!

    Why not challenge an official walker to an unofficial competition? There are lots of free pedometer apps.
