Online Audition and Interview Setup Guide

Upon confirming your online audition and interview with Berklee, you will receive an email with the following information.

Important Audition and Interview Guidelines

During your audition and interview, we ask that you:

  • wear headphones that connect to your computer,
  • place your computer in a place where you can read music from the screen while performing, and
  • be aware that your audition will be recorded.

To attend your online audition and interview, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Preparing for the Audition and Interview Lobby

Remember to double check the time of your audition in your portal, and convert it to your time zone. As you prepare for your online audition and interview, do the following: 

60 Minutes before Your Audition and Interview Time
  • Use an ethernet cable to connect to your internet for the optimal experience (do not use a Wi-Fi connection).
  • Test your connection and system again here.
  • Close all other applications and windows on your computer.
  • Warm up on your instrument.

Step 2: Entering the Audition and Interview Lobby

When You Enter the Audition and Interview Lobby
  • This is the waiting room with other applicants, so feel free to chat and ask questions.
  • The audition and interview lobby host will send you a link to your virtual audition room via the chat feature.
  • Close the window of the audition and interview lobby once you arrive in the virtual audition room.

Step 3: Entering the Audition or Interview Room

When You Enter the Inteview Room

Turn on your camera and audio to interact with the audition team. Follow the prompts within the Webex platform to activate these features. 

After the Audition

 Please re-enter the audition and interview lobby to wait for your interview. When you do this, note the following:

  •  This is the waiting room with other applicants, so feel free to chat and ask questions.
  •  The audition and interview lobby host will send you a link to your interview room via the chat feature.
  •  Close the window of the audition and interview lobby once you arrive in the virtual interview room.
When You Enter the Interview Room

Turn on your camera and audio to interact with your interviewer. Follow the prompts within the Webex platform to activate these features. 

Reminder: your audition will be recorded.
