The Office of Identity-Based Programs affirms the lives, experiences, and resilience of students from underserved communities and is the home of the Black Scholars Initiative and SOMOS Latinx programs. Our office empowers students to reach their personal, academic, artistic, and career goals through community building and enhancing their connection to success advising, programs, and professional networks, while also supporting their persistence, engagement and progress to degree completion.

We intentionally collaborate on key initiatives and programs with partners across Student Success Programs and Services and Berklee’s broader diverse community. Our goal is to instill a sense of community and belonging while amplifying the importance of diverse and just communities within Berklee. Through our events, programs and mentoring opportunities, students are encouraged to explore and develop their own understanding of intersecting identities.
