Shawn J. Moore
Shawn J. Moore joined Berklee in April 2025. In his current role, he leads initiatives that promote student engagement and leadership development, facilitating the creation of spaces and experiences where students can thrive and navigate their academic and co-curricular journeys with intention, impact, and belonging. His background in mindfulness, leadership, training, and development informs his holistic approach to supporting students.
Moore holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Bowie State University and a master’s degree in management and organizational leadership from Wilmington University. He brings a unique blend of academic experience and a passion for transformative leadership to his role at Berklee.
His career has been shaped by his leadership as a student affairs practitioner, where he has supported students, leaders, and organizations through theory-based experiential learning curricula and specialized training programs. Before joining Berklee, Moore gained extensive experience in the nonprofit sector, focusing on mental health, healing justice, and brain health through neuroscience. He also provided coaching to organizations on leadership, burnout prevention, and strengths-based development. Additionally, he has facilitated mindfulness offerings, including restorative yoga, sound healing, and meditation, helping individuals and teams find clarity, rest, and balance.
