Your First-Year Experience (FYE) Hub
On- and off-campus first-year students will use the Cadence app as their central home base for navigating their entire first year. Students will receive the following:
- Newsletters and Updates: Biweekly essential announcements, key academic deadlines, and weekly campus tips.
- FYE Ambassador Office Hours: Drop-in peer support hours for off-campus students to ask questions, get advice, and chat with experienced upper-semester students. On-campus residents will utilize their Resident Assistant (RA).
- First-Year Events: Workshops, social mixers, and programs designed specifically to help new students connect and thrive.
Students should turn on their app notifications so they never miss an update or schedule change. Events will be added at least one week in advance.
Undergraduate orientation is for Berklee College of Music and Boston Conservatory at Berklee students entering their first semester. New Student Orientation kicks off a week before the semester begins and focuses on helping students build social and artistic connections. Undergraduate orientation is held three times throughout the academic year: fall, spring, and summer.

Hotels and Accommodations
Berklee partners with a variety of hotels in the area during move-in and orientation to provide discounts at a rate of 10 to 15 percent off.
