This SOMOS Latinx open mic-style gathering will provide a platform for students who are part of the program to showcase their talents in theater, dance, and music.
SOMOS Latinx students will have the opportunity to visit Boston’s Latin Quarter in Jamaica Plain and enjoy the neighborhood’s cultural richness with many restaurants, barber shops, hair salons, and murals.

SOMOS Latinx invites students from various backgrounds to share their unique perspectives on navigating and connecting with multiple cultures within the Latinx community.
Topics for discussion include but are not limited to what it means to be Latino at Berklee, whether you are Brazilian, Afro-Latinx, South and Central American, or born in a Latino family in the US—all accompanied by a delightful selection of typical Latin snacks!
This workshop will offer students a unique and immersive experience that encompasses both the theoretical and practical aspects of creating Latin pop music, fostering a deep appreciation for the diversity within Latin American musical traditions as they collectively work on a song project.
Latinx Wellbeing: Learning to Manage Stress and Decompress is an opportunity for students who identify as Latinx to connect, learn, and grow in a supportive and inclusive space.
This event is open to all students who identify as Latinx, as well as those interested in learning more about Latinx culture and the challenges faced by this community.
