Ty-Juana L. Flores is an Afrolatina with Panamanian roots from Roxbury, Massachusetts, who is dedicated to building a better world through the arts. As an arts administrator and thought partner in shifting organizational culture, she has held various roles in design, higher education, philanthropy, and city government. Under her leadership, she's played a critical role to increase retention and graduation rates for program participants in the Black Scholars Initiative and in fall 2023 was responsible for successfully launching Berklee's inaugural SOMOS Latinx program, which celebrates the diversity within Latinx/Hispanic culture.
She is currently a board member for the Boston Cultural Council (BCC) in the Mayor's Office of Arts and Culture, and during her free time she enjoys working on creative projects, spending time with her daughter, and visiting museums and art galleries.
