Reporting Crimes or Emergencies
Berklee students, faculty, staff, and guests are encouraged to promptly and accurately report all crimes, emergencies, and suspicious activity to the Berklee Police Department at 617-747-8888 (extension 8888 on campus). Reports can also be made in person at Berklee Public Safety, located in the basement of 155 Massachusetts Avenue. Alternately, the Boston Police Department (BPD) can be called at 617-343-4911 or 911, especially if the incident is off campus.
Public Safety provides 24-hour emergency call boxes for the Berklee community. These boxes are strategically placed throughout the campus and are easily identified by their blue light. When activated, the call box connects to the Public Safety control center. Public Safety will investigate all incidents. When it is deemed appropriate, reports are forwarded to the applicable department at Berklee for review and potential action. Public Safety encourages community members to contact the Boston Police Department, or other authorities, when necessary and will also contact said authorities when their assistance is needed.
