Biography

Originally from South Carolina, Karen has served as the Assistant to the Performance Division Dean and Performance Major Advisor since 2018.  Prior to joining the Performance Division Team, Karen served as a Director in Berklee Alumni Affairs for 13 years.  In Alumni Affairs Karen co-produced Berklee's first alumni reunion and concert and co-led the efforts resulting in the Bill Pierce/MLK Scholarship, the Jeffrey E. Ramsay Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund, and the Berklee Alumni Achievement Awards.

In addition to her on-campus activities, Karen has maintained an active performing career and worked for years as an entrepreneur, bandleader, and vocal coach. Karen is also the co-leader for New England's Black Directors Network.  This network of present, former and aspiring Black directors supports Black leaders and their community organizations.
