All students are invited to attend one of our free pre-orientation programs that take place before the campus-wide fall orientation for entering students. These programs are your opportunity to start building your Berklee community and connect with resources before orientation even begins. In addition to fostering connections with your classmates, these programs equip you with strategies for navigating academic and cocurricular experiences, along with essential skills for success at Berklee and beyond.
Advance registration is required and space is limited; see an overview of the programs below.
These programs also host events during the main orientation week, so you’ll still be able to build connections even if you’re not able to arrive in time for one of Berklee’s pre-orientation programs.
Black Scholars Initiative Pre-Orientation

The Black Scholars Initiative (BSI) hosts an annual pre-orientation program that is rooted in uplifting students and cultivating community. This free, week-long program provides you with the opportunity to experience sessions about core concepts in music, dance, and theater; the history and musical traditions of the African diaspora; and strategies for navigating academic and extracurricular experiences.
MIND@Berklee Neurodivergent Program Pre-Orientation

The MIND@Berklee Neurodivergent Program pre-orientation program offers a sensory-friendly move-in experience for entering students who identify as neurodivergent. Through programs before and during orientation week, you will have an opportunity to connect with resources and key staff members to set you up for success on your Berklee journey.
SOMOS Latinx Pre-Orientation

SOMOS Latinx hosts an annual pre-orientation program that fosters connection and belonging while highlighting the contributions of the Latinx and Hispanic diaspora to Berklee and the arts. You will gain valuable skills and connections through sessions about core concepts in music, dance, and theater; Latinx and Hispanic musical traditions; and strategies for navigating academic and extracurricular experiences.
