Biography

John Bastianelli's education started at the University of North Texas and finished at Hofstra University, where he graduated with a degree in music and business. A fascination in the recording process early in life inspired him to start working in recording studios, and he later opened a production facility in New York offering both music production and artist development services.

An early adopter of hard disk recording and digital technology, Bastianelli worked as a consultant with Digidesign, Sonic Foundry, and other companies. His passion for music, technology, and business eventually led him to start working for music technology manufacturers. He started as a sales manager and soon moved into product development with companies such as Otari, Tascam, M-Audio, Avid, and PreSonus, where he now serves as executive vice president of product management.

Bastianelli has never neglected his passion for music creation over the years. An active saxophonist, he is currently working on a number of original projects ranging from R&B to K-Pop to jazz. This helps him stay on top of the latest music creation techniques and trends, including live sound.
