Biography

Evyen J. Klean is a music supervisor at Neophonic, Inc., a premium music supervision company based in Los Angeles. He is an Emmy Award winner, a six-time Guild of Music Supervisor Award winner, and a five-time Hollywood Music in Media (HMMA) Award nominee.

Klean founded Neophonic in 1980 and was involved in the areas of artist management, music publishing, record labels, and recording studios, where he developed a reputation for vast musical knowledge, experience, and strong relationships in the entertainment community. Eventually shifting the company’s focus to music supervision, he has since supervised and consulted for over 100 films and thousands of hours of television.

From full-service soundtrack production and supervision to creative and technical consultation, he has worked with nearly every major film and TV studio, network, and independent alike. Klean and team Neophonic have had the pleasure of consulting for HBO for over 24 years, working with dozens of award-winning directors, producers, and composers as well as producing music with a countless number of musical artists.

Klean is currently the music supervisor on the global phenomenon Game of Thrones. He also supervises HBO’s Chernobyl and Deadwood as well as Cinemax's Warrior and Netflix’s The Last Thing He Wanted. Other recent credits include What’s My Name: Muhammad Ali, The Wizard of Lies, and Elvis Presley: The Searcher. He's a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences; the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences; the American Film Institute; the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers; and Broadcast Music, Inc.
