Biography

Amanda Marks leads business development for Apple’s internet software and services (IS&S) division, where she is charged with growing the reach of the IS&S services such as Apple Music, iCloud, and Apple News through strategic partnerships. A new media executive with 20 years of experience in all business aspects of emerging business models (business development, strategy, partner relationship management, business affairs, and operations), she has long been at the forefront of the evolving digital landscape.  

As global head of digital accounts at Universal Music Group, Marks managed the company’s partnerships with global digital services, including iTunes, Spotify, YouTube, VEVO, and Amazon. Previously, she was executive vice president and general manager for Universal’s distribution division, where she helped lead the company through its transition from being focused on physical products to being format-agnostic, enabling it to remain a market leader in online and mobile interactive content services while developing agile strategies for the physical marketplace.

She is a frequent speaker on panels and at business schools, and a board member of City of Hope’s Music, Film and Entertainment Industry Group.
