Meet the Team

Dr. Roberto Arruda’s (he/him) goal as the Director of International Student Services and Study Abroad is to partner with the whole campus community to support Berklee’s mission and strategic global focus by overseeing international student services and engagement strategies, as well as programs, exchanges, and experiences for Berklee students studying abroad.

Jason Focarino joined Berklee in 2025 working across the Office of International Student Services and the Summer Programs Department. Before entering higher education administration, Focarino worked as an English language acquisition teacher for seven years.

Kimi Fukuyama works with students on visas and immigration, travel and work permissions, and adapting to US culture. 

Being born and raised in Boston, Denysha Jackson has always enjoyed the culture and vivacious vibe that college students—especially international students—have brought to the city. 

Keke Li works as an international student advisor at Berklee College of Music. Before joining Berklee, she worked in immigration advising and dedicated several years to supporting first-year international college students in language development, cultural adaptation, and academic writing.

Born and raised in northern New Jersey, Craig McDonald joined International Student Services in 2022.

Originally from Connecticut, Jevon Smith relocated to Boston to join Berklee’s International Student Services team. Prior to joining Berklee, he worked in international education at Yale University’s Office of International Students and Scholars, as well as at Rosemont College and the American Institute for Foreign Study.
