Manuel Rangel presents Five Movements, his innovative method that teaches the world of maracas in just five key movements.
Students will work on motor independence with both hands in the basic combinations of those five movements, resulting in 25 basic combinations. They also will learn about the origins of the instrument and how traditional Venezuelan rhythms are interpreted in 3/4, 6/8, and 5/8. Teachers, students, and nonmusicians are welcome.
