Join us for an unforgettable night as Iranian music legend Aref Arefkia, known as Aref, performs favorite old tunes and newly released songs.

Aref was born in 1940 in Ardabil, Iran, and is known as “the sultan of hearts” and “the legend of pop.” He graduated from Tehran Industrial School of Art in 1958. Before starting his career as a singer—although he had been singing since he was 12—he worked as a teacher at Qazvin Industrial School of Art for two years.

In the 1960s, Aref introduced a new wave of romantic styles to the large spectrum of romantic Persian music. After the Islamic revolution, he and his family left Iran in 1979 for London for three years before settling in Los Angeles.
