The 150 Massachusetts Avenue improvement project finished in late 2016.
Project highlights include the removal of the single-story ground-floor addition to the building along Belvidere Street, creating a wider, landscaped sidewalk. The project also restored the glass storefront along Massachusetts Avenue to more closely approximate the appearance of the former Sherry-Biltmore Hotel.
Significant interior work included improving accessibility to the dormitory and reprogramming spaces formerly occupied by activities that are now housed within Berklee’s 160 Massachusetts Avenue building. These improvements afford better visibility to passers-by and encourage greater opportunity for community engagement and collaboration.
