150 Massachusetts Avenue Improvement Project

150 Massachusetts Ave Exterior Before

The 150 Massachusetts Avenue improvement project is underway, and is scheduled to be substantially complete by the fall of 2016.

Project highlights include the removal of the single story, ground-floor addition to the building along Belvidere Street, enabling passersby on Massachusetts Avenue to better view the recently restored St. Cecilia Church and creating a wider, landscaped sidewalk. It also involves restoring the glass storefront along Massachusetts Avenue to more closely approximate the appearance of the former Sherry-Biltmore Hotel.

The project also involves significant interior work, including improving accessibility to the dormitory, and redesignating spaces within the building formerly occupied by activities that are now housed within Berklee’s 160 Massachusetts Avenue building. These improvements will afford better visibility to passers-by, and will provide greater opportunity for community engagement.

We appreciate your patience, and welcome your comments and questions as the project progresses.
