Housing and Student Life

Berklee's Boston campus offers a rich array of cocurricular opportunities for learning and community involvement. Whether your student chooses to live on-campus in one of our four residence halls or off-campus in Back Bay or a neighboring community, there are numerous possibilities to connect and engage with our diverse community.

Housing and Residence Life

Student housing is an important part of your student's learning process. Berklee students are exposed to a wide variety of backgrounds, cultures, and musical styles. For many students, this is their first experience with the responsibility of independence and the art of compromise that comes with living with other people.

Off-Campus Student Services

Berklee is one of many colleges in the Boston area with an urban campus. The majority of our students live off-campus in Back Bay or in surrounding areas such as the Fenway, Allston, or Brighton. Numerous resources exist for students to research neighborhoods and secure housing.

Student Life

Most Berklee students find that their academic experience is enriched by engaging in music and other activities outside of the classroom. From student clubs and student-run enterprises to student government and a wealth of opportunities throughout Boston, your student can get involved in extracurricular activities such as Berklee’s internet radio station, the college’s focused areas of study—such as the institute of creative entrepreneurship—and an array of cultural organizations, just to name a few. There are also many health and wellness opportunities such as yoga, meditation, intramural sports, and fitness programs.
