First-Year Families

The Office of New Student and Family Programs would like to welcome you to the Berklee community. When we refer to Berklee, we are referring to both Berklee College of Music and Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Our office exists to serve not only your student with their transition to Berklee, but you as their family as well.

What Do We Mean by "Family"?

The Office of New Student and Family Programs uses the word "family" intentionally to include parents, grandparents, siblings, guardians, spouses, significant others, partners, foster parents, and chosen family because we strive to honor all types of families. Our office serves the families of our students by offering resources that connect you with the institution and address your needs as family members of the Berklee community.

Resources for First-Year Families

Below are resources that you can utilize as a first-year family member (and beyond) in order to stay informed and connected to Berklee to help support your student in their transition to college, and yourselves in your transition to Berklee family member. Once again, we'd like to welcome you to our community and invite you to explore our Family Orientation page and the Family Resource Guide, learn the Berklee lingo, and more. Questions? Feel free to reach out to families@berklee.edu
