Liz Walker Honored

Krystal Banfield, director of Berklee City Music, Boston, presented award-winning journalist Liz Walker with a plaque at the annual Unsung Heroes Breakfast at Berklee on January 24. Berklee City Music paid tribute to Walker for her  significant contributions to the local community as an educator, artist, and mentor. Walker also spoke on a panel discussion, moderated by Banfield, addressing youth empowerment along with Mary Flannery from RAW Arts, and Jane Money, of the Boston City Singers. The Unsung Heroes event also included live music by the Berklee City Music All-Stars, the City Music Preparatory School Ensemble, Bloco AfroBrazil, and Eguie Castrillo.
