MBTA Semester Pass
Boston's public transportation system, the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA), provides a network of bus and subway lines that cover all areas of the city.
We are no longer accepting orders for Spring 2018 MBTA passes. An email will go out to those who have ordered passes to pick them up at the Student Activities Center when passes are ready.
Only online payment by debit or credit card is accepted.
Through the MBTA, Berklee Student Activities offers a semester T pass for the fall and spring semesters at an 11% discount off the regular MBTA monthly pass fares. The discount can be applied to any of the MBTA pass types (LinkPass, Local Bus, Express Bus, Commuter Rail) and covers unlimited rides for four months: September–December in the fall and February–May in the spring.
The semester T pass offers a significant savings to college students who will be using the bus, subway, or commuter rail an average of 10 or more times per week. Those who use the T less frequently may purchase a Charlie Card and add value to the card as needed, or a Day/Week pass, which includes unlimited rides during a specified period of time. Charlie Cards and Day/Week passes may be purchased at individual MBTA stations, not through this program. Semester T passes are only offered in the fall and spring semesters; discounted passes for the summer (May–August) are not available.
The LinkPass is the most popular pass for students and allows unlimited rides on both the subway and bus. There is no pass available for subway only. Descriptions for each pass are included in this info sheet:
