Brenda Lau (Virtual Concert)
The #BerkleeAnywhere Concert Series features Berklee College of Music and Boston Conservatory at Berklee students performing virtually, from wherever they are in the world. We may be separated by distance, but music empowers us to unite. Wherever you are, we invite you to connect with us every Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. EDT on Berklee’s IGTV and Facebook pages.
About the Artist
Brenda Lau is a Chinese-Panamanian singer/songwriter who won the latest Panamanian version of American Idol, Vive la música 2010 (Batalla de las estrellas). She grew up listening to Canto/Mando-pop and Latin music. She recently completed her professional diploma, focusing on songwriting, and is debuting her first single “Mirror of My Mind.” Lau has performed the national anthem for the Boston Bruins during the 2018–2019 season, following the retirement of local legend Rene Rancourt, who sang the anthem for the Bruins for 42 years.
