Emergency/Urgent Situations

If you are enrolled for the fall 2020 semester, Public Safety is still operating as usual and available in the event of an emergency that is occurring on campus during the business hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EDT, or after hours. They can be reached at 617-747-8888 or via the Rave Guardian app.

Additionally, if you experience a mental health emergency, you may go to your local emergency room or dial 911 for emergency services in your area.

Boston Area Rape Crisis Center (BARCC)

For cases of sexual misconduct, anyone can call BARCC’s 24/7 hotline at 800-841-8371 for confidential support, crisis counseling, and information. You can also use this form to request an appointment or counseling with BARCC. For additional resources about incidents involving discrimination, harassment, or sexual misconduct, please visit the Equity Resources page.

  • Samaritans Helpline at 877-870-4673. The helpline is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week by call or text anytime. Their services are free, confidential, and anonymous.
  • National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-8255. The lifeline provides 24/7, free, and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones, and best practices for professionals.
