Accessibility on the Web
Berklee is committed to ensuring accessibility of its websites and intranet to people with disabilities. This policy applies to all new, updated, and existing web content on berklee.edu, bostonconservatory.berklee.edu, college.berklee.edu, and nyc.berklee.edu.
Content published by our organization to these websites will conform to best practices in accessibility standards. Our goal is to meet all Level AA success criteria of W3C WAI WCAG 2.1. This applies to content that is both public facing and for internal use.
We also aim to ensure that our authoring tools conform to all Level AA criteria of ATAG. Members of our community are required to attend a training, which includes accessibility best practices, before they are granted permission to publish content on the websites.
The digital strategy team is currently leading a project to rebuild our websites in the Drupal 8 platform, and as part of this effort, we will be convening a user group dedicated to testing the accessibility of each component on the new sites. If you are interested in participating in this user group, contact cmweb@berklee.edu.
The footers of the websites feature a link to this Accessibility area that includes a form for users to submit feedback or issues related to usability or accessibility of any Berklee campus or web property. We will respond to feedback within 48 hours of submission. Feedback will also be compiled and addressed as part of our accessibility review process.
