Small Crush/Strawberry Launch

Small Crush began in Logan Hammon's bedroom when she was 13 years old writing songs on her dad's old guitar and recording covers in GarageBand. In her sophomore year of high school, she found some friends in jazz band class to help fulfill her dream of playing her songs in a full band. Together, the band began playing little shows at 924 Gilman and other DIY spaces. In 2018, the band released an EP that caught the attention of local Bay Area label Asian Man Records and recorded a full length album the year after. Since then, the band has grown to touring and playing venues Hammon has always admired. Through it all, the band has made the joy of playing music and having fun the most important thing.

Strawberry Launch is a pop-rock band established in November of 2018 after lead singer Riiza cold-called guitarist Matrianna Gahol hoping she would want to start a band with a complete stranger. Together they added Abby Flicker on bass, Taylor Hurt on keyboard, and Benjy Berkowitz on drums. Their debut EP (released in August 2021) quickly gained praise from Under the Radar, Rolling Stone India and Atwood magazine. The group has built a devoted following in New York City, sharing the stage with heavy hitters such as Beach Bunny, Hot Flash Heat Wave, Post Sex Nachos, and The Toxhards. The group will be presenting their sophomore EP under Trash Casual Records in early 2024.
