Since forming in Dunedin, New Zealand, in 2017, Mild Orange has become a band that belongs to the world, building an international following on the strength of songs that unfold like secrets shared between friends and lovers. Or, as Billboard put it, Mild Orange has mastered making music for the nostalgic.”

The indie rockers exploded online in 2018 after their independently released debut album, Foreplay, reached every corner of the globe on YouTube—most notably with the singles “Some Feeling” and “Mysight.” The album was produced and mixed by frontman Josh Mehrtens, who still leads the charge in carefully producing and crafting the band’s records.

Mild Orange has since become known for their alternative blend of sun-drenched dream pop and psychedelic rock, sounds that translate powerfully to their live shows. They are now becoming a mainstay in the indie world, thanks to their fierce ambition and drive—having performed across North America, Europe, Asia, Oceania, and Africa—all while remaining independent.

After releasing their third album, Looking For Space, which Rolling Stone described as “the band at their luscious best," and selling out headline concerts at renowned venues around the world—from NYC, Paris, L.A., Warsaw, and beyond—the band relocated to London, where they began working on their fourth album, THE//GLOW.

THE//GLOW, releasing in August 2025, is split into two parts: one part heartland rock for the glow of the roads less known, and one part late-night psych rock for the glow of the city lights.

In Mild Orange, you’ll find a band that truly lives for the love of music.
