The Red Room at Cafe 939 proudly presents Fresh Prospects, a free concert series spotlighting emerging artists. Curated by Berklee students with an ear for talent, this series offers an intimate glimpse into the music scene’s future, featuring local performers making waves and capturing attention.
Ale Fonseca is a Miami, Florida-born singer-songwriter and performer whose music blends storytelling, theatricality, and genre-bending sound. A YoungArts winner and U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts (2023–2024), her work moves between styles while remaining grounded in narrative and expression. Drawing from her background in musical theater, Fonseca brings a dynamic, immersive energy to the stage. She is thrilled to make her Red Room debut and invites audiences to share in the excitement of live performance.
Koji Muraishi is a Macanese-Japanese-Korean bassist and arranger based in Boston. Known for his deep pocket, expressive playing, and musical versatility, he brings energy to every performance. Passionate about collaborating with artists from around the world, Muraishi draws on his cross-cultural perspective to craft engaging musical experiences that resonate with audiences. Whether anchoring a band or shaping the groove, he combines technical skill with musical intuition to deliver performances that are both dynamic and deeply connected.
