The Signature Series presents award-winning vocalist, flutist, composer, and songwriter Elena Pinderhughes leading a Berklee student septet.

Matthew Stevens, assistant professor of ensembles, selected the student sextet by audition and is rehearsing them in Pinderhughes’s chosen repertoire in preparation for the concert.

Described by The Guardian as the “most exciting and creatively assured jazz flutist to have emerged in years," Elena Pinderhughes seamlessly blends jazz, hip-hop, and R&B influences, reflecting her diverse musical upbringing and open-minded approach to music. Besides her own projects, Pinderhughes has toured and recorded with Terrace Martin, esperanza spalding B.M. ’05, Herbie Hancock, Chief Xian aTunde Adjuah (formerly Christian Scott B.M. ’04), Common, and more.
