Berklee Valencia has announced a new study abroad partnership with three institutions in Latin America, all members of the Berklee Global Partners network: EMMAT (Escuela de Música, Medios y Tecnología) in Bogotá, ProJazz Instituto Profesional in Santiago de Chile, and Rec Música in Mexico City. These partnerships expand opportunities for students to pursue their musical education in an international setting.
Through these agreements, qualified students from each institution will have the opportunity to study at Berklee’s campus in Valencia for a semester or an academic year, earning transferable academic credit while immersing themselves in Berklee’s globally focused curriculum. The programs are designed to support students working toward degrees at their home institutions while gaining experience in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
Participants will take part in Berklee Valencia’s academic offerings and benefit from a comprehensive support structure, including pre-departure advising, on-site orientation, housing, and access to campus resources. Students will also have the opportunity to engage with a diverse international community of artists, performers, producers, entrepreneurs, and creators.
“These partnerships reflect Berklee Valencia’s commitment to expanding access to transformative educational experiences,” said Simone Pilon, Berklee Valencia’s executive director. “We are excited to welcome students from our partner institutions in Latin America and to support their artistic and academic growth.”
The agreements reinforce Berklee Valencia’s ongoing efforts to build meaningful relationships and expand study-abroad opportunities with institutions around the world, connecting students across cultures and disciplines through music and the performing arts.
