Biography

Susan Genco is co-president of the Azoff Company, working alongside industry veteran Irving Azoff. Her responsibilities include oversight and management of a diverse portfolio of entertainment companies, along with the company’s strategic and legislative efforts. The Azoff Company portfolio includes Full Stop Management, Global Music Rights, and Oak View Group, among others. 

Genco is a lecturer in law at UCLA School of Law, where she has taught music law since 2012 and is a founder of the school's Music Industry Clinic. She was proud to be selected for Billboard’s Power 100 list and as one of the executives of year in Billboard’s Women in Music: The 100 Most Powerful Executives list. Prior to joining the Azoff Company, Genco held a variety of executive positions including executive vice president, Global Music Rights; head of business affairs and music for Guitar Hero, a division of Activision Blizzard; senior vice president of business affairs at Warner Bros. Records; senior vice president, business affairs and operations, Capitol/EMI; and vice president, business and legal affairs at Arista Records, under the tutelage of Clive Davis.

Genco holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. (summa cum laude/Phi Beta Kappa) in economics from Wellesley College, where her studies included one year at the London School of Economics. She serves on the executive committee for the USO Entertainment advisory council; the executive committee and advisory board of the Entertainment Law Initiative; and on the KCRW Foundation board of directors. She is also a member of the Wellesley Business Leadership Council and is a founder and co-chair of the XX Fund. She resides in Los Angeles with her husband and three children.
