Biography

Marlon Saunders is an American singer-songwriter and record producer who is the CEO and founder of The Seamless Voice, a contemporary vocal studio with a focus on developing a healthy, balanced instrument and connecting head and heart.

Artists studying with Saunders have appeared in Broadway productions of Frozen, Hamilton, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, The Lion King, and Book of Mormon, to name a few. He is a faculty member at Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU and The New School’s Jazz and Contemporary Music and Drama departments.

Saunders toured with Stevie Wonder on the Songs in the Key of Life tour. He also served as vocal contractor for Sam Smith, Mondo Cozmo, Logic, and Julia Michaels. He has toured with Bobby McFerrin as a member of his vocal group Voicestra. As a session and touring singer, he has worked with a variety of artists, including Michael Jackson, Lauryn Hill, Billy Joel, Sting, Darius Rucker, and many others.

Saunders appears as the Calypso Singer in the popular Disney film Enchanted. He sings the Academy Award–nominated song “That’s How You Know” with Amy Adams. He also performed the song live at the 80th Annual Academy Awards with Tony Award–winner Kristin Chenoweth. ​
