Lou Rizzo
Lou Rizzo has 30 years of experience in the recording, broadcast, marketing, and creative sectors. He has adapted and flourished throughout the music industry’s digital revolution. For more than 20 years, he was regional promotion manager for Atlantic Records—home of superstars such as Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, and Berklee College of Music’s own Charlie Puth.
As the hands, mouth, eyes, and ears of the label’s northeast region, Rizzo fosters strong relationships with media and performance venues to create the best and most visible opportunities for Atlantic’s rich and varied roster to shine. His path to the label began by learning, playing, and teaching drums and guitar in hometown garage bands, touring ensembles, and pit orchestras.
While earning a Bachelor of Arts in communications from Fordham University in New York City, Rizzo embarked on a 10-year broadcasting career, performing, producing, and programming for a variety of radio formats while working as an independent audio producer and voice talent. This skill set proved a good fit at Atlantic, where he has worked since 1997. Since then, the historic label pioneered the bourgeoning digital landscape and established a new major label model.
Rizzo lives in Boston, Massachusetts, with his wife and three children.
