Biography

Jack Wall is best known as a composer for his rich, cinematic scores found on popular franchises such as Call of Duty: Black Ops II & III, Mass Effect 1 & 2, Myst, Splinter Cell, and Jade Empire.

Collaborating with the world’s leading game studios, he has won numerous accolades for his soundtracks, achieving cult status with fans. Wall received British Academy of Film and Arts (BAFTA) and Spike TV VGA nominations for his work on Mass Effect 2.

In addition to his composing achievements, Wall cocreated the concert series Video Games Live and served as its producer and music director/conductor from 2005 through 2010, performing with more than 50 of the world’s finest orchestras, including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, and London Philharmonic Orchestra.

Wall was cofounder of the Game Audio Network Guild and is a frequent speaker and instructor at various educational institutions, including Columbia College, USC, UCLA, Expressions Center for New Media, the Los Angeles Recording School, and Berklee College of Music.

Wall is currently composing for Disney Free Form’s Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments. He has written additional music scores for numerous television series and films, including Reign on the CW, Emerald City on NBC, and Hard Target II on Netflix.
