David Dorn
David Dorn '86 is senior director at Apple Music, reporting to Robert Kondrk. His career began in New York City, where he worked as a recording engineer with several childhood heroes, including Keith Richards, Pete Townshend, and Billy Joel. Dorn joined legendary catalog label Rhino Records in 1993, working in public relations before shifting his focus to managing Rhino’s website, eventually helping Warner Music Group transition its business to selling and streaming digital music. He joined Apple in 2012, managing the catalog business for the iTunes Store, and he now manages the Apple Music business.
Dorn attended Berklee College of Music. He is a member of the Recording Academy, a Grammy voter, and a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominating committee.
