Britt Ryan
Britt Ryan is the associate producer of the Newport Folk Festival and Newport Jazz Festival in Newport, Rhode Island. She is a magna cum laude graduate of Northeastern University’s music industry program and was named to the Huntington 100, recognized as one of the 100 most influential seniors of her graduating class.
In 2018, Ryan was selected out of 50 participants to the inaugural American Express and Center for Creative Leadership Women in Music Leadership Academy. She began her career with Newport Festivals Foundation through the Northeastern co-op program where she worked with the current executive producer, Jay Sweet, and was mentored by producer emeritus Bob Jones.
From 2009 to the present, Ryan has built her career as production coordinator and associate producer. She oversees all production, artist relations, guest credentialing, and hospitality for both festivals, as well as producing the benefit aftershows and managing and developing the year-round Newport Folk and Newport Jazz Presents® brands.
Ryan resides in Marblehead, Massachusetts, with her husband, four stepkids, and two rescue dogs. Her free time is mostly dictated by this small army and their various sports and hobbies.
