Biography

Brian Lee is a Tony Award–winning producer based in New York but originally from Toronto. On Broadway, he produced Angels in America (for which he won a Tony) and is working on Moulin Rouge. He coproduced People, Places and Things at St. Ann’s Warehouse with the National Theatre of London.

Lee is the cofounder of AF Creative Media, which is currently developing several new projects for Broadway, the West End, and off  Broadway. He has served on the directing team for the most recent Broadway production of Sunset Boulevard, starring Glenn Close, and Cirque de Soleil’s Paramour. Other credits include Sinatra: The Voice of a Century, starring Christina Aguilera, Sting, Bernadette Peters, and Sutton Foster for PBS at the Lincoln Center, and Roman Holiday.

Lee is also the founder and artistic director of the award-winning nonprofit theater company Steppin’ Out Theatrical Productions, which is based in Toronto. He has received the Lieutenant Governors Award from the Canadian Government and was named to the Top 20 under 30 list by Canada Life.
