Berklee Asia Rising (BAR) highlights the people, places, and stories shaping Asian and Asian American music today. Representing communities across East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Central Asia, and the Asian American diaspora, this concert showcases original projects, artist-led collaborations, and performances inspired by the music, creators, and cultural influences shaping audiences around the world.
Founded by Edvard Lee, associate professor of ensembles, BAR brings together a new generation of artists whose perspectives reflect the diversity, creativity, and global reach of contemporary music today. At its core, the program celebrates students not only as performers, but as creators, collaborators, and emerging leaders.
