Berklee Summer Guitar Sessions presents a melodic flow clinic with Nir Felder. Called “the next big jazz guitarist” by NPR and hailed by the New York Times as a “whiz kid,” Felder is a leading voice in modern jazz guitar.

Felder spent his youth playing in rock bands while discovering jazz at his local record store, drawing inspiration from icons ranging from John Coltrane to Jimi Hendrix. In 2006, he moved to New York City and quickly became one of the city's most sought-after sidemen, performing and recording with an eclectic group of artists across jazz and other genres, including Diana Krall, Erykah Badu, Brad Mehldau, John Mayer, and Ben Platt (for the Netflix special Ben Platt Live from Radio City Music Hall). He has toured on six continents, performed at renowned venues including Radio City Music Hall and the Village Vanguard, and appeared on national television.

Felder formed his own quartet in 2010 and released his critically acclaimed debut album, Golden Age. His latest project is a pair of trio recordings that use the studio as an instrument and incorporate cutting-edge sound design technology to create layered music that blends jazz improvisation with other genres in innovative ways, pushing the boundaries of what a jazz record can be. Felder was the 2021 winner of the DownBeat Critics Poll in the Rising Star Guitarist category.
